Teleprompter for recording online lessons
Updated 19 September 2026 · by Viktor, video creator
Inream Teleprompter keeps a long lesson script in view while you record in 16:9 on a laptop or a phone in a stand. Adaptive scroll learns your pace, Auto-pause waits when you stop to point at something, and one tap steps the script back a line if you need to re-read it. Recording is free and unlimited; free exports are 720p with a watermark, and Pro removes it.
Keeping a long script in view
The lesson is reflowed into short lines under the camera and moves at the pace you set or the pace you speak. Text size and speed can be changed between takes.
Pausing to explain without losing your place
With Auto-pause the script stops when you stop talking — to draw, point or think — and continues when you speak again. It calibrates to the room’s noise during the 3-2-1 countdown.
When a sentence goes wrong
Step the script back a line and say it again; the take keeps recording, so cut the slip in your editor, or retake the section. Trim the start and the end before export.
Subtitles and an .srt file for your course platform
Subtitles come from your script, word for word, so terms and names are spelled the way you wrote them. Edit them before export and upload the .srt file alongside the video.
Questions
Does it work on a laptop webcam?
Yes. Inream Teleprompter works in all major browsers on phone and laptop.
Which formats can I export?
16:9 for lessons, and also 9:16 and 1:1.
Can I record in any language?
Yes. Auto-pause detects your voice rather than words, so the language does not matter.
