Teleprompter for Reels, Shorts and TikTok
Updated 19 September 2026 · by Viktor, video creator
Inream Teleprompter lets you record Reels, Shorts and TikToks from a script in your phone’s browser. The script scrolls in short lines right under the front camera, waits when you pause, and if you lose your place one tap steps the script back a line while the take keeps recording. Recording is free and unlimited; free exports are 720p with a watermark, and Pro removes it.
Where do my eyes go while I read?
The script sits in a band at the top of the screen, right under the front camera, reflowed into lines of three to five words. Your eyes move a few millimetres instead of drifting to the side, so on camera you look at the viewer.
How fast should the script scroll?
Let it follow you. Auto-pause moves the text while you speak and waits when you stop; Adaptive learns your reading pace and starts the next take at it; Linear runs at a fixed 60-200 words per minute if you prefer a steady speed.
What if I stumble in the middle of a clip?
Keep going: step the script back a line and say the sentence again, then cut the bad take in your editor — or, for a short clip, retake the whole thing from the review screen.
Subtitles for people watching on mute
Subtitles are made from your script, word for word, so names and brand words are spelled right. You can edit them before export, and an .srt file comes with the video.
Posting straight from the phone
Export 9:16 and send it with the phone’s share sheet to Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp or Telegram, or save it to the camera roll.
Questions
Do I need to install an app?
No. Inream Teleprompter works in all major browsers on phone and laptop.
Can I record 1:1 or 16:9 too?
Yes: 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9.
Can I edit the subtitles?
Yes, before export. They are generated from your script, and an .srt file is included.
Does it work with my accent?
Yes. Auto-pause listens for your voice, not your words, so accent and language do not matter.
