Inream Teleprompter is operated by Inream. By using it you agree to these terms. The full Inream Terms of Service apply to this product as well and are available at inream.com/terms_of_service.
What the service does
We show your own script over your camera preview in your browser, record what your device captures, and produce a finished video file from that recording. Free accounts receive a 720p file with an “Inream Teleprompter” watermark burned into the frames. Pro accounts receive a clean file at up to 4K — capped by what your camera actually gives the browser, which on many phones is 1080p.
Camera and microphone
Recording needs access to your camera and microphone. Your browser asks you for that permission and you can withdraw it at any time. We use the streams only while you are on the recording screen. The audio is analysed on your device to decide when to scroll the text; no audio is sent anywhere for that, and we do not run speech recognition.
Your recordings
Recordings are stored on your device, in your browser's storage. We do not keep copies. If you choose the server render path — used when your browser cannot encode video itself — the raw recording is uploaded to private transient storage, processed, returned to you, and deleted; the storage bucket also deletes anything left behind within 24 hours. Your browser can clear its own storage, so treat exported files as the durable copy.
Your content
Your scripts and videos are yours. You are responsible for what you record and for having the rights to anything you include. Do not use the service to produce content that is unlawful, that impersonates someone, or that infringes another person's rights.
Payment
Pro is a subscription billed in USD through AllPay. Your card statement will show INREAM. A period is bought outright: cancelling stops the next renewal and Pro continues to the end of the period you paid for. We attempt renewal on a stored card; we do not guarantee that the attempt succeeds. If it fails we email you and Pro keeps working for a further seven days.
Availability
We provide the service as it is, without a guarantee that every browser or device will support every feature. Rendering on the device requires WebCodecs; where it is unavailable we fall back to our server.
