CuePrompter vs Inream Teleprompter

Updated 6 November 2026 · by Viktor, video creator

Choose CuePrompter if you only need text scrolling in a browser — free, no account, no watermark, with mirror mode for a beam-splitter glass — and you record with another camera or app. Choose Inream Teleprompter if you want the browser to record you as well: the script sits under the camera, waits when you pause, and the take comes out trimmed with subtitles from your script.

We make Inream Teleprompter. The CuePrompter column comes only from its maker’s own pages and app-store listing, checked on 6 November 2026; each cell links to its source.

Choose CuePrompter if

  • You record with a separate camera and only need the words scrolling on a screen or a teleprompter glass.
  • You want no account and no watermark at all, and a fixed speed is enough.
  • You need mirror mode for a beam-splitter rig.

Choose Inream Teleprompter if

  • You want the video recorded in the same tab, not in another app lined up by hand.
  • You want the script to wait when you stop talking; CuePrompter scrolls at a speed you set.
  • You want subtitles from your script with an .srt file, and 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9 export.

A scrolling page or a recorder?

CuePrompter scrolls your text in the browser and leaves the recording to something else: a camera behind a glass, or another app. Inream Teleprompter does both in one tab: the script is in a band under the front camera or webcam, the take is recorded as you read, and you export it trimmed, with subtitles made from your script.

Fixed speed or your pace?

CuePrompter runs at the speed you set, which you change with the arrow keys as you go. Inream Teleprompter can run at a fixed 60-200 words per minute too, or let Auto-pause move the script while you speak and wait when you stop, so a breath or a pause to think does not leave the text running ahead.
